MD60-o Family

60mm Stepper Motor with Controller & Driver, 2.10 – 3.1Nm, 48V, Absolute Encoder, USB/RS485

The MD60-o Family replaces PD-1160 and PD-1161 Families in our product portfolio.

The MD60-o MocDrive familly is a full mechatronic solution including a high torque stepper motor and a motion controller/driver using the outstanding CoolStep™ technology for sensorless load dependent current control. This allows an energy efficient operation of an open-loop stepper motor system. With the advanced StallGuard2™ feature the load of the motor can be detected with high resolution.

The MocDrive can be controlled via USB or RS485 serial interface. The power supply, interface and the multipurpose I/Os can be connected with JST connectors. The  SpreadCycle™ chopper allows highest smoothness and high speed operation. The internal absolute encoder can be used to detect step loss or to control the target position. Using predefined TMCL high level commands like move to position or constant rotation a rapid and fast development of motion control applications is guaranteed. Communication traffic is kept very low since all time critical operations, e.g. ramp calculation are performed on board. The TMCL™ program can be stored in the on board EEPROM for stand-alone operation. The firmware of the module can be updated via the serial interface.
