The MocDrive MD60-210-o is a full mechatronic solution including a high torque stepper motor with 2,1 Nm holding torque and a motion controller/driver using an outstanding technology for sensorless load dependent current control. This allows an energy efficient operation of an open-loop stepper motor system. Another advanced feature is to detect the load of the motor with high resolution.
The MocDrive can be controlled via USB or RS485 serial interface. The power supply, interface and the multipurpose I/Os can be connected with JST connectors. The Advanced Hysteresis Chopper allows highest smoothness and high speed operation. The internal absolute encoder can be used to detect step loss or to control the target position. Using predefined high level commands like move to position or constant rotation a rapid and fast development of motion control applications is guaranteed. Communication traffic is kept very low since all time critical operations, e.g. ramp calculation are performed on board. The script can be stored in the on board EEPROM for stand-alone operation. The firmware of the module can be updated via the serial interface.
