The VLX-series encoders are state-of-the-art position sensors designed for a broad range of industrial automation applications and motion control, with exceptional performance to size ratio. Typical applications include highly accurate surgical robots, semi-conductor robotics, collaborative-robots, multi-axes automated machinery, as well as automotive applications. Tested to meet the most exact of industrial environmental conditions of IEC 60068-2 and feature an ‘on-the-application’ push-button automatic calibration process.

The holistic structure of the VLX-series Electric Encoder™ makes it unique. Its output reading is the averaged outcome of the entire circumference area of the rotor. This inherent design characteristic provides the VLX-seriesencoder with outstanding precision as well as a tolerant mechanical mounting.
The absence of components such as ball bearings, flexible couplers, glass discs, light sources & detectors, along with very low power consumption, enables the VLX-series encoders to deliver virtually failure-free performance.
